Years ago he ended things between them to protect her…

As leader of one of the fiercest werewolf packs in the south, Finn Stavros is in full battle mode 24/7. He has no choice—he’s one of the few beings strong enough to fight the Akkadian demons, whose mysterious escape from hell threatens the entire world. With the battle turning bloodier by the second, Finn is ready for anything…until his vampire long lost love shows up on his doorstep in desperate need of his help, sending his heart into a tailspin. He agrees to help her, unaware that she carries a shocking secret that will turn his life upside down.

This time, he’s not letting her go…

Vampire Lyra Marius curses the day she met Finn. The ruthless werewolf promised to love her forever, but he rejected her instead—before she could share her life altering news. Pregnant, kicked out of her coven, and cast aside by the love of her life, Lyra struggled to raise their rare shifter-vampire daughter Vega alone among humans. When the 16-year-old is kidnapped and used to fulfill a frightening prophecy, Lyra swallows her pride and turns to Finn for help. But how long can she fight her feelings for him and keep him from guessing the truth about who Vega really is? As they race against the clock to save their daughter, they must defeat the lethal threat imposed by demons infiltrating the human world and a hell gate that could not only reveal their existence to mankind, but destroy the world in the process.

My Opinion  5 STARS

Vampires and shifter and Dragons, oh my.....

Lyra and Finn found each other when Lyra had secretly escaped her coven feeling suffocate seventeen years ago.  Completely sheltered she stumbled into a shifter bar where Finn saw her and immediately took her to safety.

However their encounter lead to many more as they began to get too know each other in every sense of the word even if Vampires and Shifters did not usually mix, let alone fall in love.

Seventeen years later she has only gone to Finn for his help as she has no other choice, her daughter Vega has been kidnapped.

The passion between them ignites as soon as they set eyes on each other again.  The chemistry is still very much there and this time there is nothing in the way of Finn taking and claim what he considers as his.

Both have shocking news for the other, in their each way declaring that they still love each other and Vega on brings them even closer together.

I do wish that Finn and Lyra had more time alone together, however there was so much action going on with so many other character s involved that things seemed to stay on an even sizzle as their emotions and feeling get ramping up until they could no longer help themselves.

Lyra shows herself as a very strong capable woman, not only did she cope with breaking up with Finn, she also coped suddenly being on her own amongst the human population whilst being pregnant, never having had to fend for herself in such a way.

Finn always shows his alpha capabilities with his orders, strength and mannerisms.  Her is very caring and loyal and his tenderness to both Lyra and Vega is lovely.

We are introduced to other characters in the book, Gabriel, Victoria and Drake.  Which we can also see that the next book will be on Victoria and Drake, the ending leads us in no guesses that this is what is coming next.

I really hope that Gabriel also gets a HEA in this series.
