The Boss and Her Billionaire (Love on Deck #1) by Michele de Winton

The Book
Release Date: 7 July 2012

Cruise director Michaela Western has everything she wants--everything except a sex life. But there are no secrets on cruise ships. She risked her job once for a dalliance with the Captain, and won't do it again for a few minutes of toe-curling pleasure. Until a devilishly handsome new staffer with a body made for sin tempts her to walk on the wild side...

Investment billionaire Dylan Johns always gets what he wants. He is used to giving orders--not taking them--until he's forced to go on hiatus from his investment company. To bide his time and carry out an old dream, he takes a job on a cruise ship--and ends up taking orders from his gorgeous, but uptight, new boss. He is determined to loosen her up with a fun onboard romance, but their no-strings fling turns serious and Dylan is forced to confess his lies.

When the affair threatens to shatter Michaela's own career dreams, she finds herself caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

My Opinion  3 STARS
This book had the potential to be so much better than it was, I mean the write up sounded so good and I felt a little let down with what I got.

Yes Michaela was a strong character, she has her best friend Felicity (who stars in the next book) and she is in a position on a ship that is male dominated.  I still think it would have been harder to be onboard a cruise liner and not had just the one little slip with the Captain, and not more with other staff or guests.

A billionaire being a closet dancer?  The really didn't really seem plausible and his background in dance  (or lack thereof) i'm sure would have been more of an issue with employment, faking it well or not.  It just never sat right with me.

The sister-in-law section of the book really wasn't needed and her tears near the end of the book really annoyed me.  That little part really felt like extra padding.

The ending on the whole really was disappointing and felt completely rushed.  Dylan had a complete 180 turn in his thoughts and feelings and it all happened far to fast.  Michaela, yes her part felt right, but Dylan felt all wrong.
