Tempting the Cowboy: A Paint River Ranch Book - Elisabeth Otto

The Book
Release Date: 14 October 2013

After taking a job on a quiet Montana dude ranch, ex-cop Rylan Frederickson finds herself surrounded by unbelievably sexy cowboys. Too bad the one she wants is her boss...and the single dad of a four-year-old. It doesn’t matter anyway, because after a recent tragedy, there’s simply no more room in her heart.

Letting a new woman into their life is the last thing Cole Haywood wants for him and his daughter, Birdie. But as Rylan’s presence at Paint River Ranch breathes new life into his family he can’t ignore his growing attraction.

When the sparks between them turn into fireworks in bed, Rylan’s torn between the family she’s lost and the one she may have found. Now she must decide if something that feels this good is worth the risk.

My Opinion  3 STARS
**ARC Provided by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for an honest review**

This book was ok to read but felt like nothing special.

Rylan has moved her life to a ranch to getaway and start afresh. An ex cop, she was married ti a judge who like alcohol and prostitutes. One day, drunk with his daughter in the car he crashes and both die.

Cole is an owner of the ranch with his brothers and mother. His mother has MS and needs help and his younger brother is in the army leaving his other brother Tucker helping.

Cole and Rylan instantly find themselves attracted and it is Cole that pushes forward with the relationship, even though he has been burned before and has a four year old daughter.

Rylan finds it hard to cope as she still has not gotten over the loss of her daughter two years later. Cole should be more careful as his ex wife and mother of the daughter birdie he has fully custody of worked at the ranch. Bit his ex wife only wanted him for his money.

Although the story takes you with her emotional ups and down, the book actually just plods along. Even the misunderstanding near the end isn't that exciting or the fact that Rylan his hurt protecting Birdie.

I actually found this book a little dissapointing.
