The Darkest Whisper (Lords of the Underworld 4) - Gena Showalter

The Book
Release Date: 1 September 2009

New York Times bestselling sensation Gena Showalter returns with her long-awaited next installment of the Lords of the Underworld series…

He is the keeper of Doubt and his entire world’s about to be rocked.

Bound by the demon of doubt, Sabin unintentionally destroys even the most confident of lovers. So the immortal warrior spends his time on the battlefield instead of the bedroom, victory his only concern…until he meets Gwendolyn the Timid. One taste of the beautiful redhead, and he craves more.

Gwen, an immortal herself, always thought she’d fall for a kind human who wouldn’t rouse her darker side. But when Sabin frees her from prison, battling their enemies for the claim to Pandora’s box turns out to be nothing compared to the battle Sabin and Gwen will wage against love…

My Opinion  5 STARS
Dammit. These books just keep on getting better and better and sucking me in further to their world. Seriously, I just can't put these books down.

Sabin, the Lord of Doubt goes to Egypt to try and find another of the relics needed to find Pandora's box and finds a room full of women in cells. All have been raped and are pregnant except for the one who catches his eye, Gwen.

Gwen is a harpy that has bern in her cell for over a year. She's hardly slept and not eaten. She has watched the hunters rape the women in front of her.

She finds herself pulled to Sabin and even finds that her harpy can be brought back by Sabin.

Back in Buda, the pair find themselves jealous of other past relationships and he even teaches her how to fight.

I love how the other characters have input into the story and how others may be paired up.

But do I have a favourite yet? I'm not telling?
